Hi, I'm Aminka Belvitt
Aminka Belvitt was born in Wakefield, Jamaica and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. She is a Montreal-based humanitarian, international digital marketing brand strategist, strategy consultant, innovator, advocate, mentor, and keynote speaker with frequent travels to New York City. She advocates for political, social, and economic equality and empowerment of women and girls. She desires to truly uplift entrepreneurial & professional women's skills through her tech startup, Wofemtech Solutions. Wofemtech Solutions, is a virtual collective empowering women and girls worldwide through the connectivity of learning and technology.
It allows women to create their own online courses, webinars and provides video conferencing services. She frequently speaks on panels and addresses events as the main speaker, inspiring audiences to create a more equitable world through their individual platforms and own privileges. For the past four years she has been building her Montreal-based not-for-profit organization. As the Founder and President of The ForUsGirls Foundation she manages the national & International operations of her organization across multiple markets. This includes program creation, development, evaluation and expansion. ForUsGirls provides mentorship, leadership and skills based programs for marginalised girls in Canada, the United States & the Caribbean. Since 2015, The ForUsGirls Foundation has impacted the lives of over 5,000 girls!
Aminka has received recognition for her work by Emma Watson, Global News Montreal, The Independent, Vanity Fair International, MetoWe, One Young World and UN Women as a 2016-2017 Champion of Change Alumni with Empower Women. In 2017, she contributed to the international launch of UN Women #BreakTheGlass campaign with PwC. In this role she created a guideline for multi-national corporations to implement within their team and organization to promote, mentor and support women in leadership and executive roles.
She serves as a One Young World Ambassador and Global Shapers with the World Economic Montreal hub, and an SAP Next-Gen Partner. Aminka believes technology and innovation are the powerful tools to truly transform inequality in the world. In 2018, she created A NEW REALITY: Tech Summit for Girls in partnership with SAP Next-Gen. A NEW REALITY: Tech Summit for Girls has since impacted over 400 girls in NYC & New Jersey.
Aminka studied Political Science & Public Administration (Bac. Soc.Sci) at the University of Ottawa, and Public Policy & Public Affairs at Concordia University (Bac. Arts). In 2017 she obtained a professional training certificate from Columbia Business School in Digital Marketing, Engagement & Analytics.
